Jurors for district court for 190 were drawn last week for the January term which starts January 8 1900 in this city with Hon T M Pee as presiding judge. The names and post office addresses of the jurors follow. The Nominee is a go and honors are easy between the author and the actors.

J. M. Dysart was chosen librarian and Mrs. Clara Howlett named assistant at a library board meeting last Thursday. About twenty applicants competed for the posts, both terms running one year from January 1, 1900, when city control begins. The library will open weekday afternoons and Tuesday Wednesday and Saturday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30.
The Jefferson County Louisiana district court orders the grand jury to appear on the term’s second day and the petit jury on the third day. All non jury business to be heard the first two days. signed by Presiding Judge T. M. Pre on December 18 1899.

Mrs. P. A. Bayles died last Saturday at her daughter Mrs. John Harper's home. She had lived in the city with her daughter for years and had been an invalid. Funeral services were held at the Harper residence at 8:30 A M Monday, after which the remains were taken to Farmington for interment.
