Plank Boy Dies After Ice Accident on Independence River
Independence Iowa, December 2. Perry Plank sixteen son of John Plank fell through a river air-hole while skating with friends. Attempts to rescue him failed as cramps struck the boy and he sank. His body was recovered about an hour later.
