Keokuk December 3 James Porter and Dirk Lafeber piloted a thirty foot motor boat weighing about 3000 pounds through a dam arch. They rode a six foot drop safely to the water below before a cheering crowd. The boat owned by James B Moore of Suffolk Virginia carried cargo on a St Paul to gulf trip. Thieves entered St Marys Roman Catholic church on North Third and Grimes streets during the past week and stole gold and brass altar items valued at 150 to 200 dollars. Stolen Auto Recovered Later in Missouri
Des Moines reports a five passenger car owned by Eugene Waterbury of Waterbury Chemical Co. was found in Newtown, Missouri. Three youths Max Wise Glen Cronin and 17 year old Robert Rummell disappeared from a Des Moines garage Friday prompting a wide search.
