Atlantic Woman 72 Commits Suicide at Home
Mrs Anna Marie Beck aged 72 committed death by own action at her home in northwestern Atlantic Iowa about 10 this morning. She cut her throat with her son's razor after living alone with her unmarried son Jesse who found her body at noon. Born in Denmark she came to Atlantic about twelve years ago and suffered heart disease recently. Funeral services will be at the Danish Lutheran church at 2:30 Monday afternoon.

John Lundeen a brakeman for the Burlington and Quincy on the Chariton and Kansas City branch near Osceola is badly injured after dozing on the Wallace show train track between Leon and Osceola. Supposedly he slept as the approaching train struck him, losing a right arm and suffering severe leg injuries with potential amputation. He remains in a very serious condition in Chariton, Iowa.

John Kelly Dies After Head Injury in Iowa City
