Windmill deal stalls in Fairfield over lease delays
Fairfield officials sought a joint windmill restoration with VoiceStream to install equipment inside the Bronson Windmill. The plan would bring a $40,000 donation and space for telecom gear, with exhibit space and exterior repairs by the Historical Society. Protracted lease negotiations and budget year constraints left the project in doubt as of September 2000.
