New Year's babies greet Fairfield hospitals

Two Fairfield couples welcomed newborns within minutes of each other on January 1. Andrea and David Hughes had Olivia Violet Hughes at 5:16 a.m. at Bridgeport Hospital, believed to be Fairfield’s first New Year baby. Amy and Jim Keary followed with Bridget Marie at St. Vincent's Medical Center at 5:22 a.m., marking her second New Year’s Day birth for the couple.
