High School Notes On-Field Work And Leaders

The high school has trained hard under coach Harry Conner for two weeks as it builds what may become one of the fastest teams in South Eastern Iowa. Manager Putnam and Captain Cooper push for a perfect schedule, with the upcoming list to be published. Prof Ensign from the State University spoke on a recent visit, and several seniors elected Madge Vernon president Clarence Linder secretary and Ruth Rangner treasurer for the year.

Washington Landmark Chamberlin Club to Be Sold for Office Use

The famed Chamberlin club in Washington, once a magnet for financiers and statesmen, is set to be sold and repurposed as office space.
