Fairfield Birds Win Prizes at Poultry Show

J. H. Stucky and S. A. Power from Trenton Missouri competed in Fairfield poultry show winning multiple prizes in Rhode Island Reds Buff and Partridge Wyandottes Partridges and Buff Cochin bantams. Stucky took top and third in cockerels and pullets Power secured firsts in cockerels pullets and pens across several breeds. Action set for Missouri State show in Kansas City next week.

Death of Mrs Thornberry in Olewein

Fairfield reports the death of Mrs Bertha Stanford Thornberry at age about 25 at her Olewein home. Daughter of Mr and Mrs J F Stanford she lived near Fairfield and worked in the Bell Telephone office. She was married to Thomas Thornberry and left a child who died young. Funeral arrangements pending with services to be held in Fairfield and burial at Evergreen.
