54th Regiment Band Delights Fairfield Audience at Tabernacle
The 54th Regiment band of Ottumwa performed a long concert at the Tabernacle in Fairfield on a cold damp night. Anvil chorus from Il trovatore and a Lucia di Lammermoor selection drew repeated encores. The County Fair medley and a national airs medley concluded the show, with about 125 dollars raised for a new armory and a possible return engagement discussed.
