Shower baths for children at Chateau des Halles hospital
The Chateau des Halles near Lyons, once a private country home built by Mangini, now serves as a Red Cross children’s hospital. Since the war, Evian’s influx of displaced families has grown, and the chateau’s transformation includes isolated wards, a large play room, and child friendly bathrooms with low wash basins and shower baths to comfort undernourished and distressed youngsters.
