Tragic Train Jump Ends Youths Life Near Brighton
A 20 year old, Chas McClintie, was killed instantly Saturday near the Rock Island river bridge when attempting to board a moving freight car bound for Brighton. His severed lower limbs and crushed head were noted by crew who halted the train. He was the son of Mr and Mrs William McClintic, a familiar family in Brighton. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Brighton.
