Moving Pictures Promote Rural High Schools nationwide
The Department of Agriculture plans a 2000 foot film tour to show 100000 farmers how consolidated rural high schools work. Assistant Secretary Willet M. Hays says the film documents children riding to school by carriage and attending modern classrooms with manual training and agricultural courses. The film debuts at the National Corn Exposition in Omaha alongside the department’s exhibits from Seattle.

Death from tetanus claims Ira Parks in Fairfield
Ira Parks died at 4 30 this morning from tetanus caused by a pistol burn on his wrist suffered after the Fourth of July. He was born November 24 1897 in Seymour and had lived in Fairfield three years with his parents and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at his home Wednesday morning and the body taken to Seymour for interment. Ira was a fourth grade pupil at Logan school and remembered as bright and playful.
