Indiana promoters declare the Water power and interurban line between Fairfield Keosauqua and Memphis Missouri are assured with a New York bonding backstop. Two low dams on the Des Moines river will generate 4500 electric horsepower plus 500 more in reserve, rails are 70 pounds standard gauge, and initial rolling stock includes six 19 ton passenger cars and two 20 ton express cars. Financing includes $1.5 million interurban and $750 thousand water power corporations with widespread stock sales and local tax authorizations totaling $174,000 raised so far.

John Underwood of Whitlesea England who died in 1733 left a £6000 fortune to his sister on one condition that no bell be tolled at his grave nor relatives follow the coffin.
