Death of Jefferson County Farmer Jarius Fry Near Glasgow
Jarius Fry a well known Jefferson County farmer was found dead in his Glasgow area home about a mile west of town. The 65 year old man died apparently of heart trouble likely last night while living alone except for visits from his son Ray who discovered the body around 11 am Wednesday. Coroner Gaumer and Sheriff Neidbert responded with the undertaker. no foul play suspected as neighbors note the death may have occurred from natural causes.

High school team defeats Parsons 2 to 0 on Thanksgiving afternoon in a back and forth game. Explosion at Branson millinery store injures none

The Lutheran church women wove an oyster pupper for Thanksgiving Eve. School opened Monday with Miss Ruth Rangner as teacher. Several residents traveled or visited relatives in Missouri and Chicago. A Presbyterian social drew many, and Mrs. Len Long returned from Iowa City Hospital improved. Rev Byers and others planned a turkey roast for Sunday with the Lesher family.
