John Lindberg Dies After Short Illness at East Broadway
John Lindberg aged about 94 died Sunday morning after a brief illness at his home on East Broadway. Rev Thomas Osborn to lead services. burial in Evergreen cemetery. Born in Ilaa Sweden February 21, 1821, he married Misa Sarah Rose in 1846 and emigrated to the United States, settling near Fairfield where he farmed and raised six children, one daughter Elizabeth surviving. Naturalized in 1863, he worked as a tallo maker until retirement and was regarded as a trustworthy, upright citizen.
