A Colored Woman Executed for Murder in Virginia
ACHMOND Virginia September 1 Barbara Miller colored was hanged yesterday for complicity in the February murder of her husband Charles Henry Lee her accomplice was hanged last month. She died from strangulation and several thousand people gathered near the jail. Everything was orderly.

Balloonist Warner’s miraculous parachute escape fall
Prof. G. A. Warner a noted aeronaut, escaped death when his balloon collapsed at eight thousand feet. He clung to a trapeze as the canvas became a makeshift umbrella during a rapid descent and narrowly avoided fatal injury when the wreck struck Lacock Street Allegheny.
