In New York twenty years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Stratford P. Davidson face a tangled affair with partner Clayton E. Newbold. Mrs. Davidson allegedly elopes, secrets and doors barred at their West Twenty third Street home amid suspicions of shared funds and business ties. Newbold, a stock broker and Union Club member, vanished after travel with Davidson’s wife. Authorities and reporters track the ambiguous relations amid missing spouses and shifting ownership of assets.
The Buzzard gang members Joe Buzzard William Weldner and Diller Clark confined in Lancaster County jail will be released next Monday after serving their time. A letter to warder Eli Hiney outlined an escape plan with threats of armed resistance, alarming local residents and prompting precautionary measures by detectives and property owners.

The Baltimore and Ohio Directors met in Baltimore on October 9 and adjourned without choosing a successor to late President John W. Garrett. A November meeting will decide the presidency. They declared a five percent dividend on main stem and Washington Branch stock amid broader railroad concerns.
