Peter Mueller and N Petersen, two Danes, arrived at Victoria B C from the Island of Kodiak Alaska in a seal skin canoe after a 105 day voyage of about 1500 miles along the coast. They battled capsizing near Cape Spencer and reached Behring Bay before continuing toward San Francisco.

Twelve Dwellings Burned in Braddock Fire

A fire in Braddock Pennsylvania destroyed twelve frame dwellings early yesterday. Three buildings housed saloons or boarding houses and most others housed workers from the Edgar Thomson Steel Works. Losses total about $30,000 insured. Conner, 40, his wife and ten children, was killed when a wall and iron hook fell during demolition.
