Great Northern Coast Storm Ravages Rimouski Coastline

A severe east coast storm from Wednesday night lashed the Canada East shore with winds near 70 mph. Waves inundated parishes from Rimouski to River DuLoup, washing away railway tracks and telegraph offices, with many buildings swept into the sea and towns inundated. No lives reported. residents evacuated by boat as tide fears rise.
