Steamer Nafan Foundered Between Copenhagen and Leith

A steamer sailing from Copenhagen to Leith foundered in a gale yesterday. Of eighty one aboard mostly emigrants, only a few were saved. Twelve fishing vessels were reported to have lost men in the storm. Patrick Egan reportedly evaded arrest by disguising as a priest and seeking medical care.
