Fire devastates Dunlap elevator mill in Albany blaze

A watchman reported a fire at Dunlap Elevator in Albany early March 3. Flames spread rapidly, trapping workers on the sixth floor and forcing others to descend an ice slick chain. Several injured, including Garry Benson, Lewis Miller, Finnery Calkins, Myers, James Galligan, Firemen Corlin and Sheehan, and Michael McEwan. The entire mill and elevator burned, with debris injuring bystanders and the blaze narrowly contained to the structure.
