Tornado Rips Southwest County Causing Fatalities
A tornado hit the southwestern part of the county on Tuesday, lasting about two hours and measuring one half to three quarters of a mile wide. It destroyed farmhouses and crops, killing Edward James and Mrs. Jackson Wilson, with five others fatally injured and several more hurt. A child of John Hughes was left totally blind.
