In New Chicago area the storm was especially violent with five barns torn down at Mondovi and farmer Williams losing five horses and thirteen cattle as his building collapsed. Two men were seriously injured at New Chicago. George Jacot's house in Washington township was blown apart with additional destruction nearby.

A drunken young girl, with three companions, was arrested after a disturbance near a city dive. she is daughter of a prominent local citizen.
