Sherman voters weigh bonds refund or pay as due
At a Sherman meeting on a Saturday afternoon voters considered whether the town bonds maturing in 1836 should be paid as they mature with a tax or refunded by eight year bonds in yearly 2000 dollar installments plus interest. The decision: sentiment favored refunding but no plan was adopted, leaving the matter for future decision.
