A busy week in Forestville with a large cream social for the Baptist society hosted by Rev. A. Thoraps, and a Wednesday picnic on Mr. Goodenough’s grounds near Lake Shore. Many townsfolk travel to Chautauqua, Cleveland races, and visits to friends in Geneva, Brocton, and Bradford. The Methodist Society applauded Rev. S. N. Stubbs with an eighty dollar purse, and Mrs. Chamberlin of Geneva arrived for a visit. Investments include Mr. Herrick purchasing a Silver Creek road home for 8500. A grand Baby Show drew thirty three well dressed infants, with plans for a bigger event next season.
