A Watertown fire blamed on faulty electrical wiring caused an estimated 300 to 1,000 dollars in stock, fixtures, and interior damage at the Willems-Piano Radio and Wirtz Music companies on South Maple Street. Fire department officials said the blaze started in the circuit wiring. No injuries were reported.

Maddened sheep injures boy at Genzfinger farm
Sept 16 report from Ramona says a Maddened sheep attacked and bruised a small boy named Wilson at the Genzfinger farm. The child was knocked down injuring him mildly and was treated at Madison Car treatment in hospital. The mother barely escaped the animal as she rushed to help.

De Smet Draws Pupils From Outside District
