Funeral held for Charles H. Dillon former congressman
Funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Yankton for Charles H. Dillon a former congressman and supreme court judge who died at his Vermillion home. Interment followed at Yankton cemetery with eulogies by Federal Judge AL Wyman G W Nash of Yankton College and Dr H K Warren. Many local lawyers attended. pallbearers were Dillon’s longtime colleagues.
Zeppelin Goes To Meet Dr Eckener
The Graf Zeppelin with 92 passengers aboard including Mrs Eckener left Friedrichshafen at 2 am to greet the steam ship York carrying Dr Higo Eck board as it reaches the South Elbe river. The airship's return to Germany follows its world flight from Lakehurst New Jersey and a laurel wreath will be dropped to honor Dr Eckener. After cruising over Hamburg the Zeppelin plans to return to Friedrichshafen late tonight.
