New Plan Keeps British Factories Running Amid Air Raids

Four 6 hour shifts across Heinkel plants in Oranienburg and Marienhe, north of Berlin, could not hire enough skilled workers. 18 hour days persisted with monthly factory leave. Air raids threaten production, so a warning system mirrors Seguinio Spain Civil War method, cutting an estimated 14 minutes per raid. Workers stay at benches until observers signal, then move to basements. 14 minutes saved per raid as fighters approach.
