Governor Orders Ban On Combines For Overcharging
South Dakota Governor Bushfield orders the motor patrol to revoke reciprocity for non resident combine operators charging farmers excessive threshing rates. He cites reports of Kansas and Oklahoma operators asking 10 to 12 dollars per acre. Patrols are to inspect communities and enforce a 3 to 4 dollar per acre cap.
