Farmers Are For Federal Board
Keen interest is shown by South Dakota farmers in proposed Federal Farm Board plans to increase farmers' share of national income. A. W. Tompkins of Huron, vice-chairman for South Dakota of the Northwest Shriners Advisory board, reported at the twenty ninth meeting in Duluth. He warned little financial progress for farmers due to poor yields, noted better prices might avert setbacks, and cited frost damage in north and central regions. He also noted improving range feed from recent rains and low demand for extols and sheep. Rail and terminal storage discussions occupied meeting attendees.
