Ray Plummer a 15 year old farm boy from southeast of Iroquois was accidentally shot in the left forearm by his own gun while pheasant season opened in Central South Dakota. The arm was amputated above the elbow after a doctor arrived from Iroquois. his older brother stopped the bleeding with a copper plate bandage. The accident occurred around 5 pm Tuesday.
