Concert closes annual Pow Wow on campus

A two day Pow Wow ended with quiet on campus as Rosalinda Morini closed the festival in the college auditorium. The event featured a parade with multiple prize winners including Wessington Springs freshmen for the float sweepstakes, Walk 3 Flower Shop in first place, and the Twentieth Century club earning top civic honors. The Morini concert drew an enthusiastic Huronian audience and showcased her coloratura soprano with a varied program.

Countess Karolyi Admitted To U. S. Entry

Washington reports that Count and Countess Karolyi were granted entry visas after a new application through the American consulate in Paris. The decision reverses Kellogg era policy, allowing admission of Karolyi who once headed a socialist Hungarian government and opposed Regent Horthy's regime.

County agent R A Cave will travel tonight to Brookings for the sixteenth annual extension workers conference. Oldest Sioux Falls Woman Dies At 100

Sioux Falls records show Margaret Davie died after turning 100, making her the oldest resident. Born in Halifax Nova Scotia she lived in Fort Dodge Iowa earlier. She was mother to seven children, four living. Burial set for tomorrow in Sioux Falls.
