Fosheim Proposes Broad Farm Plan For South Dakota
Oscar Fosheim of Howard, veteran Miner County legislator, unveils a sweeping plan to restore farm home ownership and cut tax burdens. The proposal would drop rural credit mortgage interest to 1 percent, sell 1.5 million acres of rural land to farmers at market value with 30 year payments, and liquidate state banking land holdings. He argues the program would reduce interest nationwide through state action and begin in South Dakota.

The guidelines advise feeding 9 to 10 pounds of tankage and 10 pounds of corn. If other grains are used the tankage can be reduced by one or two pounds. When corn is self fed the tankage can also be self fed. Feeding tankage as slop or Lo soaking it provides no advantage.

Bancroft High adopts a new student honor and eligibility system after a unanimous vote by the faculty and board. The plan awards points for scholarship, attendance, citizenship, intra and extra-curricular activities, with 180 possible.
