Two Danes Save Dane as Danish Holiday Declared

Mrs. C. H. Chase Buried at Willow Lake
Funeral services for Mrs Civilian H. Chase 73 a Willow Lake pioneer were held at the family home with Rev M Luke and Father Keene presiding. Interment followed in Willow Lake cemetery. She was born May 1 1855 in Sugar Grove township Warren PA and married Civ ilian H. Chase May 1 1873. The Chases moved to South Dakota in 1882 settling in Clark County. Surviving husband son Daniel two grandsons Loren and C A Chase and great grandson Daniel James Chase all of Willow Lake. The late Civilian Chase was a lumber and banking man until ill health. His son and grandsons now run the business. C L Chase is president of the South Dakota state fair board.
