Report on lamb feeding outlook in 1940s corn belt
A Brookings report by federal statistician Joseph Le Ort says lamb and sheep feeding for market this fall and winter may match last year across the primary cattle belt excluding Western Nebraska with some regional increases in Colorado and eastern areas. Shipments to corn belt markets July through September grew slightly, especially east of the Mississippi, while western states show mixed changes and late lambing in eastern belts.
