NEW YORK October 12 A three day storm and rumor flood haunted the liner Iroquois carrying 788 Americans 577 passengers and 21 crew as it reached New York amid cheering crowds. Passengers spoke of illness heavy lights and fear of a hidden time bomb while US destroyers patrolled and authorities recalled a Berlin warning that the ship would be sunk near the coast, a claim the Germans deny.
