Englishman in Huron Warns of Crisis in War Letter
J L Carr of Huron High School received a London mate Neil Pollock's letter describing a mood of dread and chaos as war looms. Pollock writes of air raid fears, reluctance to yield to threats, socialist stance, and the hope for a brief peace if Czechoslovakia's proposals fail. He quotes U.K. debates, Chamberlain politics, and grim personal reflections amid wartime tension.
