Plan Fight To Get Road Aid
Civic clubs across South Dakota organize a campaign to restore two cents of the gasoline tax diverted by the 1983 legislature from highway funding to rural credit withdrawals. W. D. Fisher of Mitchell says the plan, backed by the Custer Battlefield Highway Association, aims to educate business leaders and candidates and may pursue court action if the tax is not returned.
