Miller founder of Fair Store dies in Huron at 67

Miller 67 longtime Huron merchant died after a long illness at his home 451 Colorado avenue southwest. Carcinoma caused death after six months bed rest. Funeral Friday at 2 30 p m Grace Episcopal church Rev John Ward Smith in charge Burial Riverside cemetery. Founder of the Fair store his retirement followed a closing out sale completing a 27 year venture begun in 1906 in a small Third street shop later expanding to larger quarters in the Masonic temple. Surviving wife one brother Carl Miller Madison Wis two sisters Mrs William Hollenbeck Baraboo and Mrs Edward Bishop Hollywood Calif plus relatives in Boulder Colo and Minneapolis.

Civil Works Men To Get Surplus Foods

Surplus foods provided by the federal government will be distributed to South Dakota families moved from relief rolls into the civil works program and to others on direct relief through March. State administrator W L Eales said the aim is to ensure needy families receive adequate winter food. Postmasters will aid by checking relief applicants for postal savings accounts. Women Sentenced In Miller Harboring Case

Lynch mob hangs attacker of two women in Missouri
