Explains Work Of Teachers Union In Huron
D C Reutier president of Huron Association of Public School Teachers says the organization is misunderstood for lacking information. The group, a year old, is independent, affiliated with AFT and AFL, and runs its affairs within the unit. It meets monthly and hosted the school board at Jefferson School with Dr. Frank K R Eversull, president of Huron College, speaking on education. The union aims to improve conditions, increase efficiency, and persuade the state legislature to address school issues with long term focus. It plans to aid the upcoming convention and assist the Chamber of Commerce when possible.
