Efforts are under way to locate relatives of James Shine who died in Montana more than a month ago leaving money and bonds. J Scott Harrison of the government land office in Helena says Shine, about 50, died of service injuries and may have lived in South Dakota before Montana and California service. Shine was orphaned early, lived with the Dobbs family until maturity, and was separated from his sister who was later adopted. Anyone knowing of his sister or relatives is asked to contact the Helena land office.
