Condition Of Gas Victim Poor Today
Emma Dickinson an 82 year old woman from Huron was asphyxiated by illuminating gas in her home at 850 Nebraska Avenue Southwest. Neighbors found her unconscious in the kitchen around 5 p.m. with a partly open stove jet. Doctors said she had been in the room about 24 hours before discovery and remains unconscious at the hospital.

Jail sentence for petit larceny in municipal court

Teachers Attend IDEA Convention in Huron Trip
A 32 member Huron delegation attended the South Dakota Education Association convention in Aberdeen as substitute teachers carried extra duties. Fort Pierre School Fire Sparks Citywide Alarm
A third floor blaze at the 33 year old Fort Pierre school caused extensive damage estimated at 76 000 dollars. Firefighters battled the flames as a broken hydrant hampered efforts while National Guardsmen sworn into federal service and Pierre volunteers assisted. The building erected in 1907 burned as teachers attended a state education association meeting in Aberdeen and residents watched from a town under smoke and fire.
