Court To Open In Woonsocket Term At Woonsocket
The November term of circuit court at Woonsocket will open Tuesday morning with Judge Bakewell presiding. Indications suggest a short term with few cases on the docket. The case against Clarence Anderson of Sioux Falls, driver for Hamm Brewing, was moved off the docket after the company settled damages with Oliver Forcier, a 12 year old Woonsocket boy struck in April. Anderson had been bound over on a charge of failing to stop after an auto accident. the June jury was out over 36 hours without a verdict before the case was settled and removed from the calendar.
