C F Dillon of Cedar Rapids will be charged with first degree murder for the slaying of Elmer Halstrom a Meriden Iowa cattle buyer. Halstrom was fatally wounded during a downtown automobile ride. Funeral services for Halstrom were held in Cherokee. In Yankton a youth Rob ert Cum mings was wounded in the head by a rifle bullet during a Missouri River trip. doctors said the wound is not serious.

Radio Announcer Drowned After Boat Upsets in Stream
Yankton, Nov. 4. Herbert Lemke, 24, radio announcer and singer at station WNAX, drowned in the Missouri river during a hunting trip when their motor boat struck a snag. Boos was rescued after three hours in the water. Lemke swam ashore but vanished amid strong waves. searchers found no trace by nightfall. Huron Teachers Board Train to State Convention
About 200 teachers bound for the South Dakota Educational Association annual convention at Sioux Falls left Huron yesterday aboard a special Chicago and North Western train. Four teachers left from Huron, 150 more joined from the west, and the train carried passengers from west and north of Hilton. The train reached Sioux Falls about 4 p.m. and will return on Wednesday.

Mishap on Third and Kansas Leaves Cars Damaged
A Ford driven by Jacob Tschetter of Hitchcock collided with a car driven by F W Wapper of 83 Utah avenue southeast on Saturday night around 10 30 PM. Both cars sustained damage but no injuries were reported. Tschetter's vehicle rolled over, breaking a door window and fenders while Wapper had his family aboard. Woman Burned Recovering After Alcohol Fire
A woman living about 15 miles northwest of Cavout was hospitalized today with serious burns to the left side after pin feathers from a duck were burned and ignited while she used wood alcohol. The accident occurred as alcohol spilled onto her clothing.
