Mrs. Charles Carter, 28, of Sioux Falls, died in a hospital from burns after disrobing at her father’s home, smearing her body with turpentine, and setting it alight with a match. A sister, Pearl Neuberger, was burned trying to extinguish the blaze. Funeral services are planned Friday. Her parents say she had mental illness since the birth of a son two months ago. Born Eva Mayme Neuberger, she is survived by her husband and two sons, Richard, 7, and the baby Charles.
