Three men escaped from Vermillion county jail in Newport Indiana were recaptured near Cayuga after 24 hours of liberty. The fugitives Antone Burnett his brother Red Burnett and Ray Riller allegedly robbed a Clinton hardware store, fled in a car that caught fire then escaped Kadokin jail. They were recaptured in a vacant schoolhouse and returned to Indiana to answer charges.
