KIWANIANS VISIT ST WILLIAMS CHURCH NEAR YALE

About 20 Huron Kiwanians and their wives visited St Williams Church four miles northeast of Yale on Monday night joining parish farmers in a program to support the church. The all day celebration raised about 1000 with around 500 from a livestock auction. The parish expects the church building to be fully paid by year end. A chicken dinner, music by I L Nordnes of Fulton and piano work by Eddie Sewell highlighted the evening with continued dancing into the night.

Norwin Peterson Pleads Guilty In Liquor Transport Charge

Watertown Nov 12 Norwin Peterson of Sioux Falls pleaded guilty before Judge Skinner to transporting intoxicating liquor. He was fined 200 dollars and costs and released on payment. Peterson and Warren McNabb, injured in a collision that killed Mrs Henry Moen near Hastia two weeks ago, remain hospitalized. Henry Moen and Anna Danielson are also seriously injured in the accident and in the hospital.

Brookings Hunter Found Dead In Lake After Hunt

In Brookings on November 12 Claytin Waldrath, 17, of White, was found dead in six inches of water near Lake Poinsett by hunters holding a shotgun and a brace of ducks. Officials believe a heart attack caused the death as no wounds were found. He had gone hunting Sunday with his mother Mrs. Go A Waldrauth, publisher of the White Leader.

Rushmore work will continue through the winter at Mount Rushmore, with Curzon Borglum stating that the faces of Washington and Jefferson on the granite will be completed by June 25 for a July 4 unveiling. With nearly 200 children enrolled, the new Catholic school in Juron opened this morning. Five classrooms were used and a sixth may be added to handle excess. Vermilion City Hall Lease Brings Substantial Income

Vermilion reports a new lease of the theater space in City Hall to J F March at 225 per month for 10 years with required improvements at his cost. The building also houses Dunlap Fruit Co Western Union Telegraph and a social club, yielding about 500 in monthly rental and 5 000 annually, totaling 32 000 in revenue.
