Red Cross Outlines South Dakota Relief Plan

Mitchell November 11 Red Cross relief director Albert Evans outlined South Dakota relief measures. The annual roll call begins today to collect funds for local needs with 50 cents of each $1 membership going to the national body. Local chapters will use the rest for county services as disaster relief personnel are deployed. The response aims to address a drought and grasshopper damage across a wide area and involves coordination with Governor Green and state leaders. North Dakota recently raised about 200000 for relief.

Buffalo Teachers Visit At Schools Gann Valley

Supt Gertrude Flyte leads an county wide inter visitation showing social studies unit plan in the new SD course. Teachers from Gann Valley observed in Mitchell then led demonstration classes for county colleagues. Groups of six will tour various schools with Flyte guiding daily discussions to adopt best teaching methods.

Improved Shipping Facilities Is Aim

BELLE FOURCHE November 11. Stockmen from South Dakota Montana and Wyoming, working with local chambers of commerce livestock committees, plan improved shipping facilities for 1932. They established stock trails and watering points between the range and Belle Fourche, the shipping outlet. Additional recommendations include new lighting at the Belle Fourche stockyards, an artesian water well, and extra yard help, with C W Sheperd Colony Wyoming and Fred Hall Aladdin Wyoming named among those involved.

Troth Attacks Fed Board Over 1920 Deflation

Pierre November 11 L G Troth state secretary of agriculture continued his critique of the federal reserve board blaming its 1920 rediscount policy for deflating agriculture. He argued that those in power resisted deflation while agriculture remained disorganized and helpless. He cited economists favoring adding money to circulation and proposed restoring silver to its monetary role.

Latin Pupils Enjoy Evening With Conjugation Puzzle
