Injured Madsen Recovering After Post Auger Accident
Carpenter November 7. Madsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Madsen near here, is recovering from a mishap when his hand was caught in the gears of a post auger at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Perry Brister. He is under care of Dr. A. Sherwood in Roland.

Colome Citizens Claim Lake Improvement Effort Progresses
Colome residents push a self funded project to drain land into Dog Ear lake via a three quarter mile ditch and dyke. A local survey shows the plan could raise lake levels by several feet, flooding nearly half a section and doubling the watershed acreage.
