At Armour Stock Yards in Hu om on November 6 hog prices stayed steady to weak with no quotation changes. Long haul hogs in good condition ranged 5 to 10 cents per hundred, top figure held at 10.00. Cattle and sheep trends mixed with early top near 10.15 for cattle and 140 to 300 pounds for bulk good sheep. barrows gilts 10.00 to 10.15, sows steady around 9.50 to 10.65. feeder pigs 9.85 to 10.00. Sheep sales 10,060, lambs steady with good fat lambs at 10.75 and select shipping lambs at 11.00.

Stores To Close Armistice Day in Huron

Armistice Day observances will close Huron retail stores and free workers for patriotic events. William Reaves Fast of the Legion plans a 1 o'clock morning program at the Huron Theatre marking the 1918 signing, followed by a parade. Government offices and schools will be closed. Minor Accident Here Yesterday

An automobile collision occurred at 4:55 yesterday afternoon at Idaho Avenue and Seventh Street Southeast involving a car driven by Richard Grace and a J. G. Winter Seed House truck driven by Melvin Dugdale. No injuries were reported though both vehicles sustained substantial damage and the truck overturned.

Speech Contests Begin Across Beadle County Districts

Beadle County rural schools start declamatory and extemporaneous speech contests beginning Monday with the Yale event. Turkish Cargo Ship Sunk Off Black Sea by Submarine

Turkish 125 ton cargo vessel carrying goods to Burgas Bulgaria for trans shipment to Germany was sunk by a Russian submarine off the Turkish coast in the Black Sea.
